Alas, date #26 had to be rescheduled due to travel issues. He was delayed returning to town, however he called me several hours before the date was to start to explain the situation, apologize, and suggest we reschedule later this week.
I was thoroughly charmed, and agreed to jog some things around this week to make that happen.
A phone call, with sincerity, will go a lot further with me than a text message in this scenario. #26 just moved up to possible “Gentleman” status.
Men, take notes.

Chivalry isn’t dead… At least not with those of my generation (1970-Present) and hopefully won’t vanish entirely because I hope that other fathers took the time to show their sons how to be gentlemen and explain exactly why that is important.
